About Jodie

I am Jodie, a French and Chinese graduate who has spent time in France as an English Language Assistant and spent time in Beijing as a summer school student at Beijing International Studies University through the Confucius Scholarship offered by my university. I love learning new languages so I also have an A1 Certificate in Spanish and I am trying to learn some basic Romanian.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is student-centric. The student will know best which areas they are struggling with and if I notice any other errors, these will also be integrated into the lesson. I believe strongly that every student has different learning styles and needs so no two of my tutoring sessions should be the same. I have a relaxed approach that still encourages learning. The typical length of a lesson may vary depending on the topic. For Primary school students, no longer than half an hour. For secondary school students before GCSE around an hour. GCSE students, an hour to an hour and a half. A level students up to 2 hours and possibly longer for help with post-A level preparations. I have taught as an English Language Assistant in France, I have also been an intern at a UK secondary school. At university I have been a PASS leader so I have a lot of experience in education. The lessons I can offer are: French (Up to A level), Mandarin beginners (Below GCSE) English Language (Up to GCSE), Business Studies Theories help (Up to GCSE and GCSE)
