About Aurela
With a degree in English Literature and a Master’s in Linguistics, I bring a strong academic foundation to my role as a private tutor. I have over eight years of experience working in higher education, which has given me a deep understanding of student learning, wellbeing, and academic success. I am well-versed in the tools and strategies that support progression and engagement across all levels of study—from primary school through to undergraduate. My approach is student-centred, informed by both pedagogical theory and practical experience, allowing me to tailor lessons to individual needs while identifying and addressing common barriers to learning.

My lessons are structured based on the level and needs of each individual student. At the core, this will always include formative feedback and ongoing check-ins, as well as providing updates to parents. In addition, I make extensive use of tools such as visual aids and mind maps, as well as share interactive resources for students to practise on their own. My strategy is to help students develop critical thinking and empower them with skills that will extend beyond this subject area. I offer help, scaffolding and encouraging the student to think independently, rather than offering quick answers. Above all, the lessons are guaranteed to instil a love of the subject!
