About Mary

I am a licensed elementary teacher, originally from California and now residing in New Mexico. I currently teach English online and I have helped students aged 4 to adult from many different backgrounds, from international students to American students who need to prepare for the SAT. My mission is to ensure that every student succeeds and feels proud of their accomplishments. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and I have tutored students online for the past four years. I can help you with homework assignments and projects, in addition to teaching basic skills or even very complicated skills, like writing a college application essay. My students say I am kind and funny, too! I hope to get to work with you soon.

2. I educate students on proper spoken and written use of English to enhance their career options.
3. I believe in exposing students to historical and contemporary literature in English.
4. I am proficient at teaching effective and retentive reading skills.
5. I can teach non-native English students and closely monitor their comprehension and usage progress.6. I use alternative teaching strategies to help students progress and learn more effectively.
7. I foster an environment that encourages students to learn, increases their interest in English, and holds their attention in a fun and exciting fashion.
