About Emi
With over 30 years of software engineering experience, I have built a career delivering real, production-grade systems using AI, cloud, and high-performance architectures. I have worked across multimedia, real-time video, and AI-driven platforms, delivering solutions used by major companies at scale. This background ensures that what I teach is not theory alone—it's grounded in the realities of modern industry. I specialise in AI cloud integrations and scalable architectures, with hands-on mastery of AWS, Azure, serverless design, event-driven systems, vector databases, and LLM technology. I’ve led the design and delivery of large systems using tools such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Pinecone, LangGraph, Chroma, and PostgreSQL—giving me the breadth needed to teach both beginners and future professionals who want to build serious projects. As a mentor, I have guided engineers across all stages of their careers—from complete beginners to professional developers preparing for senior roles. I focus on building confidence, providing real examples, and creating a plan that helps each student succeed. Before lessons begin, I assess the student’s current skills, confidence level, and goals. Based on this, we set clear 12-week objectives—whether that is learning fundamentals, building a portfolio, preparing for a job interview, or completing a certified course path. These goals become the roadmap that shapes what we cover and how fast we progress. A core part of the learning process is choosing a real project that matters to the student. Instead of generic exercises, we work on something relevant to their life, job, university, or college—for example, a business dashboard, a game, a personal website, a chatbot for coursework, or automation for work. This makes the learning practical and gives them something tangible to show future employers. By combining structured lessons with a personalised long-term goal and a project that feels meaningful, students stay motivated, build real skills, and finish the programme with something they are proud of.
