About Jordan
I became a teacher because I wanted to work in a field where I could use my passion and interest for literature and English on a daily basis. I couldn't think of a better career than one where I was able to guide young people through their study of challenging texts and facilitate their learning, enabling their own academic growth and development. I specialised in literature when studying for my degree, but have since taught extensively on A Level Language and Language and Literature courses, as well as preparing students for English Language GCSE exams for the last ten years.

I am an engaging and enthusiastic teacher of English, nerdily obsessed with my subject. My sessions reflect this, and seek to unearth the interest and engagement required to be truly successful in studying A Level and GCSE English. Sessions can last between 1 and 2 hours, and are intended to offer a variety of activities that deepen subject knowledge, test assessment skills, and offer alternative angles through which to access the texts you're studying, the exams you're preparing for. I have been teaching for ten years, tutoring for the last five, and have an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature.
