I am a native Finnish speaker living in London. I’ve lived and worked in the UK for the past 20 years and I have a degree in linguistics. I am passionate about learning and teaching languages and we speak 3 languages at home (English, Finnish and French). I offer personalised Finnish lessons for students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners to advanced learners and those preparing to take their YKI test. Each lesson is tailored to your specific goals, interests, and current language level. We’ll work together to build a strong foundation of useful vocabulary and practical phrases, with plenty of speaking practice to help you become a confident communicator in real-life situations. I can also support you with writing, listening, reading comprehension, and preparing for YKI test. Lessons are available online via Zoom , and I provide all learning materials.

Perfect! Heidi's lessons are fun and engaging. I find the hands-on approach really useful, and the lessons are the right amount of challenge to be stretched and stay motivated. Would highly recommend!
Perfect! Heidi is an excellent teacher, friendly, patient, encouraging and flexible. She put me onto a very good Finnish-language textbook which we work through together. I'm still a beginner but I look forward to weekly lessons with Heidi and feel very motivated by her. She speaks fluent English and knows Britain well so can put herself in us non-Finnish speakers' shoes. I recommend Heidi highly!
