About Malte

I'm not a formally trained tutor, but I have over 15 years of experience learning alongside people of all ages. I believe authentic connection and meaningful interaction are key to guiding the learning process. Every person—and every meeting—is unique.

I am currently based in Europe.

I speak Danish, English, and German fluently, and I'm currently learning Spanish at a beginner level.

About the lesson

The most important aspects of learning a new language is to have a genuine interest in it and to put in the hours and being consistent.
I will always recommend self studying every day and to create a routine about your learning.
I then offer supplemental learning based on conversations, reading, listening and studying all the more tricky nuances of the language - because Danish has quite a few.
I have more focus on intuitive learning by doing and listening than a grammar and rules based approach.
You will get recordings of the material from each lesson, spoken by me so you can listen as much as you need to.

Perfect! Malte unterrichtet meinen Sohn in Dänisch, um ihn auf einen Auslandsaufenthalt vorzubereiten. Er ist super freundlich, immer gut gelaunt, zugewandt, positiv und motivierend. Der Fokus des Unterrichts liegt v.a. auf Konversation und Aussprache. Malte stellt Dateien u.a. mit Audioaufnahmen und häufig genutzten Formulierungen zusammen, mit denen man selbst weiterüben kann. Der Unterricht ist so eine tolle Ergänzung zum Selbststudium. Man kann immer Fragen mitbringen, die Malte geduldig beantwortet. Malte kann die dänische Sprache auch zu anderen Sprachen in Bezug setzen, was sehr hilfreich ist, und er gibt auch Einblicke in die dänische Kultur. Er spricht außerdem wirklich unglaublich gut Deutsch, so dass er hier als super Lernvorbild dient. :) Überdies war Malte immer sehr flexibel und zuvorkommend. Wir können ihn sehr empfehlen!

Perfect! We decided it was time for my 13 year old son to learn the Danish language, so we dove right in with Malte after a short interview online. Malte has been teaching my son twice a week for close to 5 months now. He has kept my son interested, engaged and wanting to continue to learn. Besides the typical grammar, spelling, writing and speaking, Malte has also introduced videos and Danish music - much to my sons liking. Malte brings a good energy to the lessons and training. The online teaching, homework, correspondence and scheduling has been flawless, even across various time zones. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Malte.

I met Malte many years ago when traveling through Europe and was impressed by his fluency in german.
Since then we have had many language exchanges and I even tried to learn some danish (which is soo hard) but he was great at explaining and helping with prenounciation.
I have also improved my english skills very much through our exchanges.
