About Taylor
Hey there! My name is Taylor (she/her), and I am a 21-year-old Statistics student at UCLA. In my free time I enjoy roller sksating, playing chess and piano, running cross country and track, and mental health advocacy. Throughout my life, working with numbers is something that I quickly found myself to excel in, although not without difficulty at times. As someone who hopes to enter a career in research that benefits marginalized communities, I wish to give back to communities at the tutoring level and make a positive impact in their academic journey with an experience that is trauma-free and memorable. I would love to get to know you as a person as well as we crunch numbers!

Hello again! This is my first official tutoring platform. I love to get to know the student as a person if they are comfortable with doing so. I plan for my first session to get a holistic idea of what the student is looking for (i.e. a big test in the future, brushing up on skills, etc.) so that I can keep that in mind while creating a lesson plan. I also would like to know how the student works best (visually, trying by example, listening while taking notes, etc) so that they are getting the best experience. Mathematics is definitely a difficult subject, and I understand the frustration! My route to UCLA has not been easy either, so with any mistake that the student makes, I will show why it is wrong and tips for improving. Breaks are needed as well, and I understand! As a college student myself, I hope to create an environment that feels casual and not intimidating. I am always rooting for you!
