About Mackay
My grandma and grandpa were Deaf so I knew ASL at a very young age. I went on to take 2 years in high school and then did a mission for my church in Anaheim, California working specifically with the Deaf community for a year and a half. I majored in college in ASL interpreting and Deaf studies. I work full time as an interpreter for the state of Utah! I love my job and the Deaf community and love to share that love with others. My hobbies include lots of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, running, paddle boarding etc. I also am very into sports!

ASL is an amazing language that can be used for so many different things. The most important being to talk with Deaf people! I have known ASL since I was really little with my Deaf grandpa and want to share the love and the language! Happy to help you learn the basics, pass your ASL class, or take it the next steps further to becoming fluent!

Perfect! Mackey is a great teacher! She is very personable and flexible with scheduling which is great for a full time student and worker like myself. We set up a great curriculum schedule for our sessions and she has been really helpful with keeping me on track and providing me with outside study sources.

- Brian is awesome! He is determined and hard working and already has taken a few lessons through Life print.
