About Dawn
As a highly qualified math tutor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to helping students excel in mathematics. Graduating top of my class and having taken AP Calculus in high school, I have a strong foundation in the subject. I have honed my teaching skills through years of tutoring during high school and college, providing effective guidance and support to students of various levels.
I am dedicated to ensuring the success of my students, and I believe in maintaining open communication with parents. By providing weekly updates on progress and areas for improvement, I strive to ensure that both students and parents are informed and engaged in the learning process.

Subject: Math Tutoring

Objective: To provide targeted support to students in math by aligning lessons with their upcoming school course and addressing homework or confusing concepts.
Session Structure:
1. Introduction (5 mins)
- Greet the student and discuss their goals for the session.
- Review any homework assignments or concepts they find challenging.
2. Review of Upcoming School Course (15 mins)
- Go over the topics that the student will be learning in their upcoming classes.
- Discuss any specific areas where the student may need extra help or clarification.
3. Homework Assistance (20 mins)
- Work through any homework assignments the student has questions about.
- Provide explanations, examples, and guidance to help the student understand and complete the assignments.
4. Concept Understanding (20 mins)
- Focus on any specific math concepts that the student finds confusing.
- Break down the concepts into smaller, more manageable parts.
- Use visual aids, real-life examples, and interactive activities to enhance understanding.
5. Practice Exercises (15 mins)
- Engage the student in practice problems related to the topics covered in the session.
- Encourage the student to apply the concepts they have learned and provide feedback and support as needed.
6. Recap and Summary (5 mins)
- Review key takeaways from the session.
- Encourage the student to ask any remaining questions or seek clarification on any topics.
7. Homework Assignment (if applicable)
- Assign additional practice problems or tasks for the student to work on before the next session.
