Cosmetic Science *Formulation: Similar to pharmaceuticals, this involves creating cosmetic products like lotions, makeup, and shampoos. Cosmetic scientists need to know about ingredients, how they interact, and how to make a product that looks, feels, and smells good. *Ingredient Safety: Ensuring that all ingredients used in cosmetics are safe for consumers. This involves toxicology studies and understanding potential allergens or irritants. *Product Development: This includes everything from coming up with new product ideas to testing and refining formulas. *Regulatory Affairs: Cosmetic products are regulated to ensure they're safe and properly labelled.
