About Sabina
Hi! My name is Sabina and I am from a beautiful city of Vladikavkaz, located in the south part of Russia. Ever since I was a little child, I have been fascinated by the Russian language, with all its intricacies and peculiarities. I learned so much through intelligent people around me, Soviet cartoons and movies, old Russian songs, and fairytales. I graduated from Moscow State University for the Humanities with degrees in journalism (bachelor's) and art history (master's), both of which enlightened me with a deeper understanding of Russian history, literature, art, and grammar. Back then, I also had an amazing experience with the student visa in the U.S. I made a lot of friends that summer and was able to advance in English significantly. I taught my American friends Russian, and, after coming back, taught my Russian friends English. Constant conversation exchange between me and my international friends, as well as instant language interpreting, not only sharpened my communication skills but also strengthened my ability to explain things quickly and practically. These days I am located in Los Angeles, where I am pursuing a filmmaking career. However, my passion for teaching and sharing the Russian language and culture with people is still pretty strong. I am able to teach any specific vocabulary, adapt to any language level you have, and make it all seem fun and exciting!
