About David
My background is in Accounting, I worked in that field for many years which I enjoyed very much, even though I had no good education at the time. I knew I had to educate myself and started on this journey by attending Night School for several years. After my university studies, I got the opportunity to do something very different. I got a job to teach English and other courses at a southern university in China. I stayed there for 15 years and recently returned to England. That was an education in itself and a very rewarding experience, I learnt so much about the Asia-Pacific region.
In China I taught subjects like - English for Academic Purposes, Business English and Academic Research. I taught approxiamately 3,500 students from undergraduate to post graduate level, of which some 95% go onto graduate. I worked for a Top 15 university and the #2 High School in my last job.

My Teaching Methodology is based on three stages of teaching. The first is the recommended approach which is to - 1. Engage the student, 2. Study (teach) something, 3. Do an class Activity. This approach usually works, but I mix things up sometimes to keep the lesson fresh, and the student interested.
Even though sometimes my lessons are complex, I can simplify them, using visuals, giving clear explanations, terms and study guides to make it easier for the student to follow, understand and learn it.
