About Chrissy
Hi there! I’m a public policy professional working in the behavioral health space with a background in clinical mental healthcare. I also hold a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins. At heart, I’m a lifelong learner—reading and discovering new ideas are two of my greatest joys. I believe every student has the potential to thrive with the right support, and I’m passionate about helping others build confidence in their abilities. As a tutor, I take a compassionate and student-centered approach to learning. I work with middle and high school students across all core subjects—including math, science, history, and English—while helping them build foundational skills in academic writing, reading comprehension, organization, and test preparation. I aim to make complex ideas approachable, and I tailor my teaching style to meet each student’s unique needs, strengths, and learning preferences. For college students, I specialize in tutoring psychology, political science, and public health. I also support students across disciplines with academic writing—from essays and research papers to reports and presentations. I bring a strong understanding of how to analyze information, structure arguments, and communicate ideas clearly. My strength lies in my ability to break down difficult material, offer practical study strategies, and adapt to various academic goals.
