About Gerry
I've taught languages for nearly 30 years and love teaching. I've helped hundreds of pupils, students and people of all ages to improve their confidence and enjoy learning and speaking English, French and German. I have a BA Honours and Masters degrees from Newcastle University in German and French. I have an English PGCE teaching certificate to teach German and French and a Cambridge CELTA qualification to teach English. I am qualified and approved to teach people of all ages and stages. Welcome!
I'm an experienced English native speaker, tutor and teacher and believe learning should be fun as well as challenging and interesting. Building a student's confidence, listening to them and meeting their needs is key to learning and progress. I agree an individual learning plan to meet the needs of each learner and review this regularly to ensure they are making good progress.
As well as being an English native speaker I'm a a Cambridge CELTA qualified teacher of English and an experienced teacher and examiner for German and French. I've taught languages for nearly 30 years in Germany and in England and love teaching.
I can help you to improve your confidence, your accent and your grammar so you can understand and communicate more fluently. If you need English for school, for your studies, for business, for fun, to be able to travel and live in another country that's NO PROBLEM! As to experienced, patient teacher, I can develop a learning program to help you.
