About Louise
I have worked in the HR and recruiting industry for 25 years, both in the public and private sector, in the UK and USA. I have recruited for West Midlands Police, eComEngineering and Urban lux lettings agency, for which I managed the HR department, and have freelanced with Upwork for roughly 8 years.
I am an expert in teaching the STAR method (situation, task, action, result) way of recruiting and can guide students through the whole process from application to hire.
I can help tailor students resumes to the career the want, accenting the points that recruiters will be looking for.
I can guide students through the assessment centre process from interactive exercises to saville and holdsworth style aptitute test, to final interview
I can advise students on how to present themselves at interview, how to deal with unexpected questions and how apply the right example to the right question

CIPD qualified I have recruited for a wide range of companies from public to private sector. I structure my lessons by example and in stages from completing an application correctly to undergoing a mock interview.
I have a very open attitude towards teaching, where by practice makes perfect and learning what Not to do in interview is just as important as what to do. I teach relaxation techniques to overcome nerves and confidence building exercises so you can go into an interview knowing you are capable of getting that job
