I am a 2020 Hendrix Graduate who is currently serving in AmeriCorps--a national service project. When I was completing my bachelor's, I was a Teacher's Assistant for History, a member of the American History Honor Society Phi Alpha Theta, and a graduate with distinction in History.

As a tutor, I want to encourage my students to think independently and to provide them the tools to formulate a reasonable argument. Talking through historical events and understanding important details is my favorite approach because it encourages the art of storytelling---which is the foundation of history. I help students break down complicated texts and understand the context around the rhetoric and why an event may be recorded a certain way.
