About Nisha
I am a first year uni student who recently graduated year 13 and who is passionate about maths and science. I'm the type of student who spends their holidays memorising pi and researching how neurons work. Sharing my passion is something I enjoy and I want to help other students have the confidence and ability to do well in their studies.
I have received NCEA level 1, 2 and 3 excellence endorsements as well as an NZ scholarship award in 2023, and began my scholarship calculus journey as a 14-year-old (year 11). I am known as the science and maths nerd amongst my friends and many people come to me for help. I see myself as an approachable, non-judgemental tutor, so if you struggle with something that others find easy, I am more than happy to work with you to find a solution. On the other hand, if you are keen to be extended past your current school level, we can work together to solve more challenging problems and explore harder learning areas. These lessons are neurodivergent-friendly and any student is welcome.

Online sessions for any subjects related to maths or science for year 7-13 students. This can include algebra, calculus, biology, chemistry, physics and junior school science and maths, as well as others. I consistently received high grades in my subjects at school (and was awarded Dux in 2024) and believe I have a comprehensive understanding of maths and science, and I am keen to help others with their learning.
I am currently working as a maths and English tutor at Kumon and completed the Kumon program myself up to level M. I believe that tutoring is important not just for those who are struggling, but also those who are looking for further extension. I am also happy to help students with basic concepts that may seem too "easy" to need help with at school. I have a student-focused approach and will tailor my classes around the student's needs, so every lesson will look different.
My lessons will be 1 hour long unless otherwise requested, and I will accept younger students too, if requested.
