About Max
I am a recent high school graduate with a 4.6 GPA, a perfect 36 ACT score, and recognition as a National Merit Finalist. Beyond academics, I have experience coaching gymnastics and working with students in fast-paced, interactive environments, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and personalities.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I focus not only on teaching content, but also on helping students understand the structure and patterns of the ACT itself. I use practice tests to identify the areas students struggle with most and tailor sessions to target those weaknesses efficiently. I also provide organized ACT-style practice problems and strategies based on common question types and recurring concepts so students become familiar with the kinds of challenges they are most likely to see on the exam. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence, improve their scores, and feel genuinely prepared on test day.

As a tutor, my goal is not just to teach content, but to help students become more confident and comfortable with the ACT itself. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simpler steps, identifying patterns in the exam, and helping students build efficient problem-solving and pacing skills.
My lessons are personalized based on each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and target score. I often use practice tests to identify which sections students struggle with most so we can focus our time where it will make the biggest impact. I also use a collection of ACT-style questions and common problem types that I’ve organized myself to help students become familiar with the kinds of questions and patterns they are most likely to see on the exam. My goal is to help students feel prepared, confident, and less overwhelmed going into test day.
