About Paige
I graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a minor in Education, earning a 3.7 GPA. I am currently enrolled in a Master of Arts in Teaching program with a concentration in Secondary Education: English Language Arts with a 3.8 GPA. I have taught third grade for two years, leading a classroom comprised of students that were English language learners. Additionally, I have worked alongside the non-profit, Reading Connections, to partner with adult English language learners.

I believe in a student-centered approach to instruction. I have found that cultivating engagement through providing hands-on and authentic learning experiences helps to further students' retention, comprehension, and subsequently, application. I have worked with students aged five to sixty-two and there is truly no one-size-fits-all approach! Regardless, my lessons will consistently include an assessment of background knowledge/ content review and real-world application practice. I am able to provide instruction in social studies, English literacy, and elementary-level mathematics.
