About Sydney
Hello!! My name is Sydney :) I am 18 years old and graduated high school with my associates degree as well as an endorsement in Education and Social Work.
I held a 3.88/4.00 GPA at my local community college and also graduated with honors.
I am currently enrolled at a university to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
I cannot wait to meet you and assist you in all of your educational goals!!

I am an avid believer in educating in a way that best suits YOUR style of learning :) Many people learn in different ways, so I teach based on the most effective and efficient way the individual learns.
A typical lesson plan includes an introduction from the student. I use this information to help assist me in figuring out the best way he or she learns. It also builds rapport. Then, we would talk about what the student struggles with and what the student is confident in pertaining to the subject being taught that day. Next, I will teach the lesson and provide examples of me solving the problems. After that, I will ask the student to complete specific problems and correct if needed. Then, I will ask the student to teach ME how to solve the problem. Lastly, we will review how the session went- involving what we learned and what we still need to improve on.
There are many reasons that set me apart as a tutor. I am majoring in Elementary Education and love to add humor as well as nontraditional methods of learning into the classroom. I love to keep things interesting and incorporate the student's passions into the concepts being learned :)
I can do mathematical lessons with any Elementary grade as well as high school subjects including Algebra and Geometry
