About Avneet

Hi! I’m Avneet, a passionate secondary school teacher with several years of classroom experience and a Master of Education. I currently teach English, Social Studies, and Psychology to students in Grades 8–12.

I genuinely love teaching and helping students discover that they are capable of more than they think. I’m approachable, patient, and committed to creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, build confidence, and learn without feeling pressured.

Whether you need help with an upcoming assignment, want to strengthen your writing skills, are preparing for a test, or simply want to feel more confident in a subject, I’d love to help!

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach:

I’m an experienced secondary school teacher with a Master of Education and several years of experience teaching Grades 8–12. My goal is to make learning clear and confidence-building.

I tailor every lesson to the student's needs, whether they need help understanding a difficult concept, improving their writing, preparing for a test, or completing an assignment. I aim to teach students the skills and strategies they need to become more independent learners.

What a Lesson Looks Like:

We begin by identifying the student's goal and areas of difficulty. I explain concepts clearly, model strategies, and then work through examples with the student before having them apply what they've learned independently.

What Sets Me Apart:

As a current classroom teacher, I understand curriculum expectations and the challenges students face in school. I’m patient, approachable, and focused on helping students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
