Whether we’re analyzing a novel, writing an essay, or holding a class discussion, students will be supported, encouraged, and held to high standards. My approach centers on fostering high student engagement and developing critical thinking skills through the study of literature, language, and writing. I believe that English is not just about grammar and texts—it's about understanding the world, questioning ideas, and expressing oneself clearly and confidently.
To keep students actively involved, I design lessons that are interactive, discussion-based, and connected to their real-life experiences. Whether analyzing a novel, writing an argument, or exploring media, I encourage students to take ownership of their learning by forming their own interpretations, supporting them with evidence, and respectfully challenging different perspectives.
