About Andrew
Hi! My name is Andrew, and I am originally from East London. I attended Merrifield School, where I achieved 7 distinctions in my matric year. I am currently in my third year of studying Accounting at the University of Cape Town (UCT), one of South Africa’s leading universities.
Throughout my studies, I have consistently performed well academically and have achieved distinctions in several university-level Mathematics and Accounting courses. My strong academic background has given me a solid understanding of the concepts that many high school learners find challenging.
I am passionate about helping learners reach their full potential and believe that with the right guidance, anyone can succeed in Mathematics. My lessons focus on understanding concepts, building confidence, and developing problem-solving skills rather than simply memorizing methods. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.

In my lessons, I focus on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing methods. I begin by identifying areas where learners may be struggling and then explain concepts step-by-step using clear examples. I encourage learners to ask questions throughout the lesson and provide guided practice before moving on to independent problem-solving.
Lessons are tailored to each learner’s needs and pace, with a focus on strengthening foundational skills, improving confidence, and developing effective exam and test techniques. I use a variety of examples and practice questions to ensure learners can apply concepts in different contexts and feel prepared for assessments. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where learners feel comfortable making mistakes, learning from them, and achieving their academic goals in Mathematics.
