About Ethan
School can be hard and was designed to be hard. Be it bad teachers, missed classes or simply just a mental barrier. We all can perform well at school if we knew how to approach in an efficient manner. I will be sharing many learning strategies that I learned through my high-school and undergraduate journey. These strategies not only saved me time but also made the courses more digestible. I have also learned a tremendous amount about university applications and admissions processes, I am sure this information would be valuable to you. I am currently a First year undergraduate student at the University Of British Columbia, Vancouver in the Science Faculty. IGCSE Mathematics - 97 percentile. IGCSE Physics - 94 percentile. IGCSE Chemistry- 94 percentile. AS-Level Mathematics - 97 percentile. AS-Level Physics- 92 percentile. AS-Level Chemistry- 94 percentile. A-Level Mathematics - 98th percentile. A-Level Physics- 93rd percentile. A-Level Chemistry- 93rd percentile. I have 4+ years of teaching Math and English at orphanages and 3+ years teaching Math and science subjects as a private tutor.

I show my students the method of how problems are solved and focus on making sure they grasp the understanding of concepts. With this approach, they can attack problems in new ways and build confidence in themselves. This sets them up for success even in their future pursuits. A typical lesson plan would comprise of me working through 2 examples and sharing my thought process at each stage of the problem, then followed by the student working out 5 problems on their own. I would then evaluate the student's answers to make sure they understand the concept well and will be able to perform well on their own. These lessons are for high school students and early undergraduate students.
