I use a student-centered approach that combines direct instruction, scaffolded problem-solving, and hands-on learning strategies. I differentiate lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles, incorporating visual aids, manipulatives, and technology tools to make abstract math concepts concrete and accessible. I also emphasize positive reinforcement and growth mindset, encouraging students to take risks and learn from mistakes.
Each session is tailored to the student’s needs and pace, ensuring comprehension before moving forward.
What distinguishes me is my breadth of experience across K–12 education and my background in both general and special education. I have extensive experience supporting students with learning differences, executive functioning challenges, and math anxiety. My calm, patient demeanor and data-driven methods help students not only understand math—but also develop confidence and independence as learners.
I specialize in tutoring middle and high school students (grades 6–12) in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and general math support. I also work with students in special education or inclusion settings, as well as those seeking extra help to strengthen foundational skills.
