About Lucia
I have a Bachelors of Science in the Foundations of Mathematics Education, which means I’ve studied these topics inside and out and can hopefully turn you into a fellow nerd. I currently teach high school, this being my 4th year in a row teaching Algebra 1 and Financial Algebra. My credential covers from 6th grade math to 10th grade math, but I was required to take all the Calculuses and Stats classes in order to get my degree. With earning it came struggles and really hard classes, so I understand the need for help and don’t mind patiently explaining how things work. I challenge thinking, as you only can learn if you try!

Differentiation is one of my strong points as a teacher, meaning I can teach lessons to a variety of learning types. I work very well with students who have chronically struggled with math, emphasizing their growth, celebrating mistakes which they can learn from and so on. I also have tons of resources for students who find math too easy and want challenges and applications!
