About Karina
Hi there! I am currently a sophomore at Dublin High. I have experience with helping my younger family members and middle school students with their homework in subjects of Math, Science, and English to further their education. I am currently taking Honors Chemistry, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, and French 3. With a passion to help our community, I deeply aspire to give the youth a greater role model and help those who want it. I am enthusiastic to be using my transferable and tangible skills, academic experience, and determination. I love STEM and want to stimulate new innovations within our community. I am best in pre-algebra, algebra 1, and geometry, middle school math, middle school sciences , beginning french languages, and english.

The first step to teaching someone well, is understanding how they think so I can be able to help them understand it their way. I do this by first administrating a short test to determine what level of math they are at (if the student is getting tutored in math). Tutoring doesn't just involve showing somebody how something works, but also helping them understanding why it is done that way and the methodology behind it. My teaching methodology will be based on whoever I am teaching. Once I understand how each student processes information, then it is easier to identify mistakes in their thinking, and help guide them to the proper understanding of a topic in a way that they are comfortable with.
