About Kim
My name is Kim. I am a first-generation Asian American student in High School. I am a Senior and have taken multiple AP and Honors classes.
I've always loved working with others and helping students and children of all ages regardless of their background and their academic ability. I find personality, drive, and work ethic extremely important.
Some of my hobbies are playing video games, creating art, crocheting, and helping my community by doing various community service projects. I am also in a digital media academy which I enjoy very much. I have also taken pre-college classes at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and have finished their certificate courses.

For me, tutoring is all about getting to know the student and connecting with them to help the student learn. I will always start off by learning more and getting to know my students.
My approach to tutoring is first to understand what the student knows and to what degree they can solve or comprehend the issue at hand instead of giving them the answer. We will then thoroughly go over the topic and I will check in with my students to see if they understand. I am very patient and understanding with the difficulty of grasping subjects as I also struggled in school.
I can teach Elementary, Middle school, and High School Freshman and Sophmores.
