About Naomi
I have loved being a secondary English classroom teacher, and as I move towards retirement, I want to continue helping young people grow intellectually and develop confidence in their English skills. It is important to me that students know I will not write papers for them nor complete assignments. I will assist students in improving their work and learning competent editing skills.

Lessons will be designed uniquely for each student’s needs. For beginners, I recommend a balanced approach to give attention to the four basic areas of language acquisition:
speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Students with more advanced English skills will focus more on writing and accent reduction.
Students will develop strong English writing skills by understanding the parts of the sentence and the four sentence structures combined with building vocabulary and control of ideas and purpose.

When I first came to Canada, I was in the ESL classes since I wasn’t good at English. I am also a logical person. Therefore, I don’t feel emotional while reading texts from stories. Naomi is a great teacher because she provided different methods to help me to understand those English texts better by feeling what the author/ characters feel throughout my high school English courses. I would also like to thank Naomi for improving my English so that I can study further in the University of Toronto.
