About Joanne
I have 28 years of Primary School teaching experience. I have worked in every year group from Year 1 to Year 6 and have had experience of whole class teaching, challenging greater depth pupils in both Maths and English along with supporting pupils who need extra help with spelling and grammar. Seeing my pupils thrive and develop their enjoyment for subjects that they initially found challenging is something that I find very rewarding. My sessions are well structured, fun and include looking at methods to help my pupils, along with tips and tricks to help with checking and taking responsibility for their own learning.

I am a highly experienced and understanding tutor who strives to make learning fun and enjoyable, whilst developing confidence and resilience in my pupils. A deep understanding of the National Curriculum and primary school pedagogy help me to tailor sessions to enable my pupils to thrive in a safe and encouraging environment. A more relaxed, but focused session, nurtures self confidence and belief. I understand that everyone learns in different ways and I go above and beyond to help my pupils in every way that I can.
