About Spencer
I'm a student, and topics like math and science have always clicked for me. I take pride in helping other students when they struggle to understand a concept because I enjoy helping others. Watching my peers be successful and feel less stressed when they understand a concept is what I love. I've informally given lessons to my peers as long as I can remember, however I've decided to take my skills to a more structured setting. My final GPA in biology was a 4.0, and I hope I can bring others similar results.

I tend to tutor high school students taking biology. My tutoring method is very much based on the individual. Nobody learns the same way, so I always like to survey whoever I'm tutoring about how they best learn things (ex. visually, verbally, in written form, etc.) and work from there. Lesson structure is also mostly individual, but the bare bones includes first asking for any questions on relevant assignments and going through them, then going through a lesson expanding on topics that are new, refreshing topics that are old, or introducing new concepts all together. It all depends on what is most beneficial to you in your learning, and the most effective ways to spend your time in tutoring to get the most out of the experience.
