About Ben
Hi! My name is Ben. I’m a native English speaker from the UK, 28 years old, and passionate about language, culture, and connection. I’ve spent the last 6+ years teaching English to students from all over the world — both online and in-person — in Guatemala and parts of Southeast Asia. My teaching style is relaxed, practical, and focused on helping you speak confidently and naturally in real-life situations. Whether you need Business English, IELTS preparation, conversation practice, or want to explore literature and writing, I bring energy, cultural understanding, and a love for language into every session. For IELTS prep, I focus on all four skills with test strategies and timed practice. Lesson Structure & Length: Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with a balance of interactive speaking, targeted language correction, and practical exercises. Homework and progress feedback are provided for continued growth between sessions. My Qualifications & Experience: I hold over 250 hours of advanced TEFL training and have over 6 years of teaching experience with both adults, teens and kids. I’ve worked with professionals, entrepreneurs, university students and exam candidates from around the world.
