About Ana-Bianca
I have a bachelor in Health Sciences and Master in Neuroscience. I have 2 years experience lecturing for university students on Statistics, Psychology and Research Methodology. I also have 3 years teaching high school and middle school students all sciences, specializing in Chemistry and Biology. I currently teach Grade 11 and 12 Biology, Grade 11 Chemistry, General Sciences for grade 9 and 10. I also teach grade 9 and 10 English.
I am very passionate about the sciences, and work to bring that passion in all my lessons with students. What I excel at is bridging the divide between the knowledge learned in the classroom and a student's real life experience.

My goal is to make the Biology and Chemistry simple! The best thing about Biology and the sciences, is that all concepts and processes are seamlessly connected. Once this is clear, it all falls into place and memorization is only for the details.
I have a two science degrees including a masters in Neuroscience and am a full-time highschool teacher at a private school. I'm passionate about the sciences and I thoroughly plan my lessons. We can either work on long-term term goals or one-time lessons based on specific topics. I promote a learning environment where students feel confident and happy. I focus on visuals, repetition and check-ins with students.
I create personalized lesson plans and make sure to focus on the topics that students have expressed difficulty with. I have no issue with going at the students pace and taking the time to explain so that the student fully understands the topic before moving on.
I also provide explanations on how to write a lab report and scientific writing in general, and how to study for tests and answer science test questions.
