About Arko
I was inducted into music at an early age, under my mother, Smt. Anindita Basu and continued my musical training under renowned vocalist Pandit Arun Kashalkar, of the Gwalior-Agra gharana. I have also learnt the tabla in my foundational years from tabla maestro Pt. Bhai Gaitonde. He represented a blend of Farrukhabad, Delhi and Ajrada Gharanas.

My teaching styles and lessons are known for the essence of Agra with unique uses of 'nomtom', 'bols', 'taans' with great force and boundless creativity. I have learnt over 100 bandishes from my guru, most of which are his own creations in his book 'Swar Archana' under the pseudonym of 'Rasdaas'.
