About Ethan
Love of language has defined my life for over a decade. My university work is in linguistics, especially focusing on how we can make language learning better for students. I have been hired as a private tutor and have worked as a university instructor to teach Spanish, and I have loved every minute of it. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Master’s degree in Hispanic linguistics, so my specialty is making English understandable to Spanish speakers, identifying similar language patterns and pointing out the places where English and Spanish differ. The classroom is where I shine, and I hope you’ll join me there!

In my lessons, real-life language is the key. Grammar lessons are necessary, but real learning happens when students can actually see themselves using the language skills they are learning. I use activities, music, and clear visuals to demonstrate and practice concepts. After four years of language teaching and tutoring, from middle school to university level, I have honed my method to make lessons fun and effective.
