About Uriah
I am a historian with bachelor's and master's degree at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of UNAM. I have been a history teacher at the high school level and a regularization teacher at various levels. As a researcher I have focused on biographical themes and the military and political history of Mexico during the 19th century (Independence war, Reform and Second Empire). Additionally, I have worked for several years in the areas of instructional design, proofreading, copywriting, content creation and leading multidisciplinary projects to develop e-learning solutions.

My classes are based on achieving 3 objectives: 1) That you understand (no learning by repetition) 2) That you analyze and make relationships (I always try to understand the relationship of one event with another and its repercussions) 3) have a good time! (I hate boring classes) To achieve this, my teaching style could be explained as a talk where first I explain the basics and then I help you think, analyze and criticize. I like to use examples that are easy to understand and grounded in what you already know. The objectives are set by you (knowing more about a particular topic or even supporting you with some very specific research), and from that I establish an agenda and the appropriate study materials (I rely on multimedia material ). I handle distance learning to perfection but I have no problem with it being face-to-face if you prefer.
