About Francesca
I am a passionate, reliable student currently pursuing my own interests in History and English at university, looking to give back to those who may need extra support in subjects that I truly enjoy. Having myself had an English tutor at the beginning of secondary school, I understand the importance of self-confidence in allowing an individual to achieve their potential, and the undeniable benefit that one-on-one guidance can provide. Having previously taught a form group, supported an individual student as a literacy mentor and acted as an assistant in a History class to students in need, I am capable and flexible of addressing individual requirements and questions, looking to support students working across a variety of levels and subjects.

Having achieved all grade 9s at GCSE and all A*s at A-Level, whilst currently studying an undergraduate degree in History and English at the University of Oxford, I am accustomed to preparing for examinations and meeting the expected criteria of exam boards. I believe that each student's needs should be met on an individual basis, combining working through example exam questions, content and general study techniques to increase the confidence of an individual. I am keen to tailor each lesson to the student's needs, and therefore am happy to suggest my own plan for the session or alternatively support a student through dedicated homework or examination preparation. I provide hour-long lessons, sufficient time to incorporate both teaching and practice, to students of GCSE and A-Level across English Literature and to GCSE standard in English Language.
