About Nina
I graduated after studying History and Politics and I have been Civil Servant, working on complex political issues, for over 5 years. I have always found time to tutor English and other subjects (history, politics, french, maths) alongside my work, as I really enjoy working directly with people to improve skills. I have completed several online english tuition training courses, including some ESOL courses. I speak French, so I particularly enjoy teaching French students. I am friendly, warm, and very interested in getting to know people! I am based in London.

I provide classes between 30 minutes and 1h30 in length, for individuals of all ages and levels. I am also French speaking, so I have a strong track record of teaching English to French students.
My approach is to firstly assess the student's level and interests, which will help for us to set some clear goals including improving grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or overall communication skills. If students are preparing for particular exams, I can also build our lesson structure around the content.
I then tailor the lessons to the student's needs and learning style, such as using audiovisual aids, and interactive activities.
Through the structure of my lessons, I will provide ample opportunities for the student to practice each skill through exercises, discussions, and assignments.
Furthermore, if the student wishes for a more structured set of lessons, I can regularly assess the student's progress to highlight their strengths and areas for improvement, and offer specific suggestions for further development.
I find it very helpful to incorporate real-life scenarios and authentic materials into lessons, such as discussions on news or current events. Equally, if students are keen I am happy to use technology such as interactive games.
If students are keen to improve quickly, I will always encourage and support self-study and I am happy to set activities.
