About Stefana
Hey there! I'm Stefana, and I'm very passionate about helping people learn English. I've been teaching for a while now, and I absolutely love seeing students grow and reach their goals. I'm TEFL certified and I also have a PhD in History of Art (don't worry, I won't make you analyse paintings in our lessons!). My background has actually been really helpful in teaching English – it's given me a keen eye for detail and helps me explain things clearly. I've worked with students from all over the world, so I get that everyone learns differently and faces different challenges. Whether you're just starting out, want to brush up on your skills, get ready for an exam, or anything in between, I can help. I try to make learning fun and relaxed, so you feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things. My main goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable using English. I've been teaching English to international students for several years, working with everyone from beginners to advanced learners. I'm experienced in helping students prepare for tests like TOEFL and IELTS, improving their conversational English, strengthening their academic writing, and boosting their confidence using English professionally. My teaching style is all about creating an engaging and student-focused environment, where lessons are tailored to individual needs and goals. I use a mix of teaching methods, including communicative activities, task-based learning, and differentiated instruction, and I like to use technology to make learning more effective. I'm TEFL certified (since 2018!) and have a PhD in History of Art from The University of Edinburgh. My TEFL certification has given me a solid background in language acquisition and teaching techniques. My PhD work has really sharpened my analytical, research, and communication skills, which are very useful for teaching the finer points of English. I'm comfortable teaching all aspects of English, from grammar and vocabulary to pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I'm dedicated to helping students reach their English language goals.
