About Yen
As someone with a degree in History, as well as being a current student myself, and I understand the struggles that many students often face with their education, from vague or difficult teachers to frustration with their studies seemingly having no real purpose. I promise to empathize with whatever struggles you or your child may be going through and do what I can to support your studies in spite of these issues.

I specialize in Premodern and Modern East Asian History, and can also tutor American and World History, as well as English
My tutoring is student-led, meaning I encourage students to analyze what they have already learned in their classes and use that analysis to not only answer questions they may have for a specific assignment, but also for future assignments and even tests. When their current understanding of the subject at hand is insufficient, I can take a step back to cover the basics with the student and ensure they are ready to move on.
I can teach most, if not all, grade levels from Pre-K through high school.
