About Lara
I am a 21 year old British-Italian, born and bred in Sicily but has lived in the UK for the last 3 years to study at university. I am a recent History graduate and a current part-time masters student in Publishing.
I am particularly fond of the country I come from and because of this I wish to impart my knowledge to others who might be fascinated by Italy and its language.
In my free time I am an avid reader of books, occasional singer and photographer!

Language is not just about rules and vocabulary! Key to my lessons is showing you the link between language and cultural identity: in this case we will look at how Italian is a representative of its people.
A typical lesson will last maximum an hour. I will follow a set schedule and accompany this to a series of resources students should look at individually. Later on, we will discuss/comment on them together. Resources can be movies, books, articles, social media accounts and website that are essential for motivating students to learn and gradually introduce them to Italian culture.
My experience has been primarily with young beginners who were originally interested in simply having a basis of the language. One of my greatest achievements has been seeing a student successfully move to Florence!
My lessons are especially aimed at people between 19-30 years old who have no or little previous knowledge of Italian.
