About Anna
I am a history graduate who has mentored first-year students at University for 2 yrs. I have been told that my approach to teaching makes it enjoyable for my students as I am considered patient and very approachable. I also have work experience in multiple primary schools so can vary my teaching based on different age groups. I have a good understanding of the present key stage 2 and 3 history curriculum as I will be starting a PGCE in September. I have also recently finished my university degree at Southampton and have a wide overview of multiple periods in History.

My approach to learning is different based on the specific needs of the student. I can easily adapt concepts or information so that the student can best understand the subject. I am used to explaining wider overviews of periods of history as well as in-depth case studies. I believe chronology is essential to understanding historical periods and therefore integrate a lot of timelines and mind maps into my learning. I ensure that any tutoring sessions are interesting by used varied techniques and work sheets.
