My teaching methods are experimental because I want to get to know my students. I am a natural leader and learner's guide, because I am always challenging my own learner's skillset. My Background
My professional educator's experience began with one-on-tutoring and Museum Education. As a professional Public Historian, M.A. History from San Francisco State University, a wide range of World and U.S. History, and Ethnic Studies, constitute my comfort as an educator. However, due to my passion for teaching, I am willing to take on challenges outside of these ares upon request.
My Teaching Method and Education Philosophy
Learning is a personal journey. Tutors and students have much to learn from one another, because they come from different experiences and possess different skill sets. Learning is a life long process that I embrace, in special collaboration with my students. To learn is to explore the unknown, and to find ourselves through that process. As leader and mentor at once, to tutor is to embark upon a learning journey with students.
Embracing this education philosophy, I tailor my teaching methods to learning preferences with ease and skill, and above all with an open mind to improve upon my own teaching methods and approach techniques.
