About Piriyanga
I have just completed the first year of my undergraduate degree in History (BA) at the University of East Anglia and have experience in teaching students for over a year at Explore Learning Tuition Centre during Sixth-Form. I also gained experience from mentoring GCSE students in English Language and Literature during my time in Sixth-Form.

My teaching method when it comes to English lessons is to specifically plan every lesson according to individual topics and skills that each student may struggle with. When teaching how to analyse literature, or when teaching Creative Writing, I allow the student to analyse set texts, and have a go at planning the writing first, which I then follow-up with a discussion on other techniques that could have been used. After going through the plans with the students and making sure they now feel more comfortable with any techniques they may have previously struggled with, I ask them to write out the entire piece to then work on writing techniques and language.
