About Cayden
First and foremost, I think it is important to establish that I try not to be daunting or intimidating, and I believe a positive personality is key to tutoring success. Alongside this, it is also important to establish my academic credibility, for my experience is what I will be providing my students.
I am currently an honours History student at the University of Alberta, currently averaging a 3.8 GPA, and on track to graduate early. I graduated the valedictorian of my high school, with a total of 38 on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Scale, the equivalent to 95% or a 4.0 GPA in a non-IB curriculum.
I have tutored students in middle school, high school, and entry-level university contexts. I have also completed the University of Alberta's tutoring program, and have been approved as a registered tutor at the University.

My goal is to guide you into recognizing what works for you when it comes to writing. I focus on helping people develop their own voice in writing, and recognize their strengths and weaknesses.
I believe it is crucial to build confidence alongside one's skills, and I create a friendly, supportive environment to aid developing these two aspects simultaneously.
A typical lesson should include a recap of last session's material, followed by a series of guided questions and activities with the goal of unlocking the student's own initiative to learn organically and sustainably.
I have worked with students throughout middle school and high school, and have extensive experience with the IB curriculum, having gone through it myself.
