About Christopher
Chris Layman has been working with students for 20 years and teaching for 15 years, mostly in private school settings. He understands the value of a small class and how having a say in how curriculum is taught is vital to student achievement and learning. In the spring of 2020, when Covid-19 put everyone online, Chris realized that his teaching did not change and, in some ways, teaching online became a better fit for him.
Teaching 120 students online was far too many, and for many people, online education did not fit their learning style, while others thrived online. Parents reached out to Mr. Layman in the fall of 2020 for an online class; this program was started based on their interest. When not in the classroom, Chris is an avid explorer of kooky and historic roadside attractions.

80 Live classes that are about 45 minutes each. Two classes per week for 40 weeks.
Full school year of instruction covering an entire grade level curriculum.
Classes that are aligned with most state curriculums and homeschool programs.

Details
I teach a full curriculum of History, covering 80 classes that meet twice a week from late August to early June.
Classes are live and students are able to ask questions to the instructor.
I have 15 years of classroom teaching experience. My zoom lessons are the exact same quality of lessons in my classroom.
