About Sarah
I am qualified as a secondary History teacher but I have previous experience working one-to-one and in groups with students in my former job.
I mainly worked with SEN students and have plenty of patience and compassion for students who need help.
I can tutor in Humanities based subjects such as History and RE.

My teaching method is based around what works best for the students. Some learn best through regular questioning and discussion, while others learn best from being given a task and getting on with it.
As I have a degree in Ancient History with Philosophy, I am comfortable teaching students up to A-Levels in Humanities based subjects. I can also tutor in English Literature up to GCSE level.
The lesson structure includes the starter exercise, main body of work, and then plenary. This provides a consistent flow to each lesson with the starter engaging the student and recapping what they learnt in the previous lesson, then moving on to the main learning of the day. Finally, the lesson ends with a plenary to help consolidate what has been learnt.
