About Philisiwe
I have a strong academic and professional background in Nursing Studies, Autism Studies, Facilitating Inclusion in Disability Studies, Infection Prevention Control, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) . I am currently completing an MSc in Applied Behavior Analysis, deepening my expertise in evidence‑based behavioural interventions. My work is guided by a person‑centred, inclusive philosophy, and I receive regular supervision from a PSI‑chartered Behavioural Psychologist to ensure high‑quality, ethical practice.
I am passionate about empowering learners of all ages—whether supporting a child to build communication and independence through ABA, or helping a university student master academic writing. My goal is to foster confidence, critical thinking, and a sense of achievement in every learner I work with.

offer two streams of support, tailored to your needs:
1. Home‑Based ABA & Behavioural Support (Children & Adolescents)
Skill acquisition: communication (verbal behaviour, AAC), self‑care, daily living skills, play, and social skills.
Behaviour support: functional assessment, positive behaviour support plans, and data‑driven strategies.
Parent/carer coaching: training in ABA principles to promote consistency across home and community settings.
Supervision: My ABA practice is supervised by a PSI‑chartered Behavioural Psychologist, aligning with professional standards.
2. Academic & Professional Writing Support (All Ages)
English & literacy: primary to Junior Cycle, grammar, reading comprehension, creative writing.
Essay & dissertation writing: structure, argument development, referencing (APA, Harvard, etc.).
Thesis support: from proposal to final submission—clarity, coherence, and critical analysis.
CV writing: professional CVs, cover letters, and job application materials.
My approach is student‑centred, practical, and supportive. I break down complex tasks into manageable steps and tailor each session to your unique goals.
Availability: Evenings and weekends.
Location: I travel to students’ homes within a reasonable distance of Bantry, West Cork, and also offer lessons online (via webcam).
