About Orion
Hello! I am currently a Biotechnology student working towards my Ph.D! With only a handful of years left until my goal is achieved, I’m eager to show others how capable they truly are at reaching their academic goals as well! Before resuming my schooling, I was an internationally awarded winning General Manager, which means I know my way around training a team; more importantly - teaching concepts! As a former General Manager, I have years of experience teaching new concepts to people of all walks of life! I am certified in Situational Leadership: Building leaders, which enables me to change my teaching style on a person-to-person basis to ensure the learning topic is well understood! As a current Honors College student and Biology Student Aid working towards a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, I have learned study techniques I am eager to pass on! Tutoring sessions will consist of: • Breaking down core concepts in digestible chunks • Understanding complex subjects using applicable charts/diagrams • Understanding the WHY (i.e., Why does this process occur? Why am I learning this?) • Gaining access to free educational resources I have discovered over the years (Free college textbooks, Free College level classes, otherwise applicable software/websites) • Exploring multiple pathways towards concepts to find the best “click”
